"Swine flu" no more...

It's NOW called "Influenza A(H1N1)". So get it right folks! The “S word” had been banned...
The name may have changed, but the virus has not. Scientists who have examined its genetic material say that most of it comes from viruses known to infect pigs. But for various reasons, it seems, that is better left unsaid.

Anyway, whatever it is called, 'All of humanity is under threat', WHO warns and calls for "global solidarity" to combat this virus.

But don't panic....
It's a threat, ..to all of humanity,.. which we are a part, but.....Don't panic...
Am I missing something or is the World Health Orginization sounding...what's the word? "DIRE" and our leaders are sounding like they are channeling Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ?

Mexicans told to stay home, Pandemic imminent!

Mexican's have been told there is no safer place than their home by their president
Felipe Calderon. Stay home with your families he said as he ordered a partial economic shutdown for the next five days.
In Mexico City, all schools, restaurants, nightclubs and public events have been shut down to try to stop the disease from spreading.

Could the same kind of shut down happen in the US?

In response the W.H.O. has called another emergency meeting where the current pandemic level will be discussed.
The president in an earlier press conference held for Sen Arnold Specter,said he was allocating 1.5 Billion dollars to deal with the emergency.
He urged Americans to wash their hands and cover their mouths when they cough...

He also urged schools where cases of the flu has been confirmed, to close.

Interesting enough, the president referred to the virus as H1N1 instead of the "Swine Flu", perhaps as an effort to help the pork industry, who's sales have suffered due to this emergency.
By the way, you CAN'T get the flu from eating pork!!!!!!

I phone's "Baby Shaker" an I phone application no frustrated British nanny should be without.

But a new I phone application featuring a representation of a crying baby, which whom the user needs to shake till red x's appear over the eyes to silence- has got some people shakin mad and asking Apple what the hell they were thinking...

Admittedly, I rushed to judgement myself after reading this story.
But I've seen the video on you-tube now and don't see what all the hub bub's about her comments.
While I'm disappointed in that young lady's answer, I don't see her as being particularly disrespectful and she is entitled to her opinion...dreadful as it may be. If you don’t want someone to give you a truthful answer, don’t ask the question...
And maybe her opinion to deny the right of homosexuals to marry like straight couples, may have cost her the crown, as long as she doesn't blame homosexuals, them's the brakes, end of story... Karma baby.

Perez Hilton on the other hand.....
He calls her a "dumb bitch" later on in his blog, then in a later interview says "I called her the "B" word, but I was thinking the "C" word... Why all the name calling Perez? Where I come from YOU NEVER CALL A WOMAN THE "C" WORD!
I don't recall HER name calling anyone...

Perez wants to come off as this big gay rights activist, but he "outs" gay celebrities AGAINST THEIR WILL on his blog. Does anyone see a problem with this?

Again, Why would the producer of Miss USA have Perez as a judge in the first place? I don't see him as a good "judge" of ANYTHING, character included. I think he's a publicity hound and just looks for ways to get himself inserted into celebrity ism.

That young lady's opinion may go against mine, but calling someone a bitch whilest thinking the "C" word... goes against common decency and in my opinion. And it also shows how Perez, is a gay man of VERY poor character. But I still think he should have the right to marry any poor soul who will have him...
